Fellowship

Due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, Asian Travelling Fellowship awards and Yamamuro-Ogihara Fellowship have been postponed by one year. Exact dates to be confirmed.

No new applications have been accepted in 2021 for the JPOA Travelling Fellowships due to COVID-19. If you have any requests concerning JPOA fellowships, please email to jpoa@jpoa.org.

 

 

Asian Travelling Fellowship awards:

This fellowship program is founded by JPOA to support young candidates who have interests in pediatric orthopaedics from any Asian countries. During one-week stay in Japan, the candidates will visit a JPOA affiliation institution and attend the JPOA annual meeting. They will be required to make a presentation at the meeting and to submit a full paper to the Journal of JPOA. JPOA and founders hope that this fellowship will provide an opportunity for the candidates to broaden their experience, and prepare them for educational and leadership roles in the pediatric orthopaedic field.

 

Yamamuro-Ogihara Fellowship:

This fellowship program is founded by JPOA to support young candidates who have interests in pediatric orthopaedics from any developing countries. During several weeks stay in Japan, the candidates will visit several JPOA affiliation institutions and attend the JPOA annual meeting. They will be required to make a presentation at the meeting and to submit the full paper to the Journal of JPOA. JPOA and founders hope that this fellowship will provide an opportunity to the candidates to broaden their experience, and prepare them for educational and leadership roles in the pediatric orthopaedic field. Yamamuro-Ogihara Fellowship REQUIRES a recommendation of a member of JPOA and the application will be done through the recommender.
